HOUSE SYSTEM:
DIVIDED EQUALLY INTO THREE HOUSES
The students of the school are divided equally into four houses, namely Topaz, Emerald and Ruby through an organized distribution formula to get potential groups, so that a friendly competitive spirit prevails among the students round the session in Sports Activities. Each House is headed by a house master with the support of some house Teachers. A powerful student wing is selected as discipline prefects and a potential student leader is chosen as House Captain, who is Supported by the members each house.
CLASS ROOM :
Education smart class is a technology oriented initiative. It provides tools and content for interactive self-paced leaning by students, as well as rich-media presentations for teacher-led classroom learning. Smart class is available for teachers and students over the web and also installed on the schools local server for faster and more reliable access to the content.
The content available consists of pedagogically sound and visually rich curriculum resources mapped and customized as per the schools Scheme of Work. This content can be steamed into the classroom and shown by teachers in the classroom to make abstract concepts real.
Teachers will also include their own learning materials for the uses of their students.
The optional SAS engine available with smart class supports creation and management of question band and e-Tests.
COMPUTER LAB
There are four computer labs powered with Core i5 Processor CPU's, with Internet facility. The method of education comprising of classroom theory and hands on lab experience provide the children necessary knowledge and motivation to do more. The students have free access to the systems and are encouraged to exploit the system resources and in this, highly experienced and talented computer teachers support them. One resource room with computer and internet facilities is being used exclusively by the students.

Student’s participation in various Sports enhances the student’s interest in learning. Students at Academic world School Bhind are encouraged to participate actively in Sports. They actively participate in various competitions on State Level, National Level, and International Level.We have experienced coaches in all sports and students are coached regularly. SCIENCE LABORATORIES
The Science Laboratory provides a platform for students of ACADEMIC WORLD SCHOOL BHIND to practically perform the activities and get convinced about the laws and theories of the living as well as non-living world. The students till class VIII are taken to General Science Laboratories. And each student gets to perform activity on his/her own, under the guidance of the concerned teacher and the Laboratory Assistant.
The students are then asked to relate the various phenomenon and occurrences they see at home and outside to what they have learnt, be it the concept of latent heat, neutralization reactions, or conditions for growth of microbes. As an extension to this, the senior students from class IX to class XII are provided with three different well equipped and spacious Laboratories, one for Physics, one for Chemistry and one for Biology.
MATHS LABORATORIES
In order to make Mathematics learning both meaningful and enjoyable, we have introduced Math Lab activities on a regular basis. Beautiful charts, models, puzzles have been displayed everywhere in the Lab. In order that various mathematical concepts become very clear and strongly embedded in the young minds, different kinds of problems, games, and puzzles are also available.
Children have an easy access to the required materials required to carry out the activities. The outcome of their participation is very satisfactory and can be seen in the form of their beautiful files and projects.
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
DREAMS SELDOM MATERIALIZE ON THEIR OWN.
Co-curricular activities in AWS are an integral part of curriculum which provides educational activities to the students and thereby help in broadening their experiences. Co-curricular activities can be defined as the activities that enhance and enrich the regular curriculum during the normal school hours. All co-curricular activities are organized with specific purpose which vary according to the nature and form of such activities.
IMPORTANCE
- These activities are designed to meet the needs of the students and cover a broad/wide range of their abilities and talents.
- Such activities stimulate the interests in the students and provide equal opportunities to all the students to participate.
- These activities enhance the learning experience of the students and help in recognizing and developing their inner skills such as leadership qualities, creative or innovative skills etc.
- Co-curricular and extra- curricular activities give the students a chance to think out of their box and get creative ideas of their own with the help of a guide/facilitator.
- These activities help the students in developing richer learning experiences by giving them a chance to think in new ways to solve a problem or answer a question.
- Students need to take time outs to do more than just studying. Co-curricular and Extra-curricular activities give them a chance to relax, refresh and mingle easily with others.
- In short, these activities prepare the students practically for their future.
- The normal curriculum teaches and educates the student about academic theories while co- curricular activities and extra-curricular activities help the student to apply what he/ she has learned to practice in their practical life.
- These activities help in developing the grasping power of the students and provide an opportunity to the students to work in teams and thus develop team spirit in them.
- Most of the Co-curricular and Extra co-curricular activities are to keep the students physically active and get them out their desks to try out new things in practical way.
SAFETY & SECURITY
The administration at Wendy High School Junior College is highly concerned about the safety of all children within the school premises.
We maintain round-the-clock CCTV surveillance of the entire campus and have manned all external doors and gates to restrict any unauthorized access into the school.
Moreover fire fighting equipments have also been installed to make the entire security system safe.
Students are in turn, provided with regular lessons in personal safety to ensure that they can take care of themselves in case of contingencies
Transport Facility
The need for safe passage of each child to school and back home is of paramount importance to us. To ensure safe travel the school has its own fleet of outsourced school buses designed as per standards and manned by trained drivers and personnel sensitized to the needs of small children. The Transport Service (optional) is operated by the school and a separate transport fee is charged for this. For supervision and monitoring a transport attendant is on board throughout the journey.
Mobile phones have been provided in each bus that ensures efficiency in terms of service and better communication in case of emergencies. Besides ensuring the implementation of the safety norms, all staff on the bus is well trained in first aid and emergency management.
Divisions and batches are allotted as per the transport requisitions put forth by the students as transport service is not available for a few batches. Kindly enquire with our transport department before finalizing with the admission process.
Rules Governing Transport Facility
- Transport service is an optional service facilitated and outsourced by the school for the convenience of its students.
- The school bus facility available to the student cannot be expected or demanded as a matter of right. The Transport Department at their own discretion has the right to disallow any student from availing the bus facility.
- Students availing the bus facility will be provided with a bus no, pick up and alighting stop no. Generally the bus timings will operate within 10 to 15 minutes of the pickup and alighting time. Parents are requested to accommodate the same.
- Any change in the bus timings will be notified to the parent by the Transport Department.
- Students will have to board and alight the school bus at the respective stops allotted to them only. The Transport Dept reserves the rights to allot the stops.
- Students while traveling on the school bus must maintain discipline. Any student guilty of misconduct will not be allowed to avail the bus facility.
- A student shall be refused the bus facility if involved in damage to the bus property. Besides, the damage done will have to be compensated by the student.
- Discontinuation of bus facility will only be allowed term wise. Bus facility cannot be discontinued for any particular month.
- No transport facility shall be available for other activities / events that school may plan on holidays / vacations.
- Students/ parents will not have any transactions / altercation / physical fight with the bus staff. Bus employees are not authorized to change/add bus stops.
- The school has taken utmost care for the safety and convenience of the students.
- Any suggestion/ complaint regarding the transport service is to be made in writing strictly to the Transport Department and the same shall be entertained by the Transport Department only.
- The School management and School Principal shall no way interfere with the decisions taken by the Transport Dept. for the smooth functioning of the transport service for the students.
- It is important that any change to the usual pick-up/ drop routine is intimated to the transport in charge a day in advance. Bus crews have been instructed to bring back to the school any student who is not collected by the authorized person at the designated bus stop.
- No child will be handed over to an unknown person/ to anyone without the parent I-card which must be produced at the time of pick up.
- Please cooperate with the drivers and attendants. It takes nearly two weeks to set the transport route. Hence, there is a possibility of mismatch of timings given to you at the start
